K, Lets look at it this way.

Name :water Changer Arctic Squid
Cost 4 any 3 :water
Stats 2|4 1|2
Ability :water :water :water :Freeze :water :water :water :Freeze
Pro|Con
Resistant to removal Can be Played out of Nova
    Weak vs RemovalRare
Arctic Squid is pointless now.

Name :gravity Shifter Elite Otyugh
Cost 6 any 5 :gravity
Stats 3|6 0|5
Ability :gravity :Devour :gravity :Devour
Pro|Con
Larger Devour RangeCan be Played out of Nova Can be run in a dual deck for less cost restriction
Outrates Otyugh Easily.
If you are restricted to Basic Cards such as a Tourney, the :gravity Changer is even better.

Name :air Shifter Elite Wyrm
Cost 6 any 4 :air
Stats 3|6 5|3
Ability :air :air Dive  :air :air Dive
Pro|Con Only 3 Damage to Double 5 damage to Double
Why would I want to use The shifter here when the Wyrm is better?

Air version was only originally cost 1 to use dive - but it was upd to 2 because SC/SS is resistant to oty intial attacks and ability was made more expensive to balance this version
squid is rare - so not many newbs have it - this cards is for newb monos -- also squid is cheaper to play w/fractals / multiple squids
and so what if 1 is slightly better than another - as I said to someone before - I didn't realise that oty was a god card and there is not allowed to be anything better than it ever.

If my one sucks - it sucks - take you saying air version sucks - before it was too good - so i downgraded it and now it sucks?
if my one is too good - it's too good and you criticise it
how about saying possibilites to change to improve - such as devour only gaining 1 attack in staid of 1 attack/HP -- would that make you happier?

you said before - would this card make other older cards redundant? if i keep air 1 cost - then wyrm is never used becoming redundant -- if air cost is 2 then you will never want to use this card
jeese - give me a break lol

what would make you happy kael o mighty lord and master
make freeze only feeze for 1 or 2 goes?
make garvity only gain 1 Att and 0 HPs?
Air to cost 1 or 2?
Paradox cost 3 for unupgraded?
lobo to cost 2 unupgrade?

you seem to dislike most of my cards but yet you don't tell me how to improve o_O
please help me - im still a newb and not pro at card creation :/

~~EDIT~~ I'm leaving now so won't be back till tuesday sometime so I won't be able to reply to any questions/comments ~~
Possible thoughts about changes:
:air cost back down to 1?
damage tripled for 1 go (cost still 2)?

:aether lobo cost to go to 2 for unupgraded?

:entropy cost to go to 3 for unupgraded?

:gravity cost to go to 2 for each card for devour?
SC/SS only gains 1 Att and no HPs +1/+0?

:water to freeze for only 2 goes? cost still 3
to freeze for only 1 go? cost still 3

Thats my point.

As card presence is limited, if you make 2 cards do the same job then the better one will always be used and the other means nothing.
I can't offer an adjustment to the card except ditch all the shapeshifts that do anything that is already done.

Shape Changer/ Shape Shifter compared to their mirrored cards.

Needs tweaking IMHO. Suggestions included
:air unupped
:darkness
:gravity
:light
:water

Shape Changer/Shape Shifter [:aether] vs MindFlayer/Ulitharid
Pro:
Is immune to Otyugh for two devours
Mono
Con:
Costs twice as much.
Mono prefers Shape Changer/Shape Shifter, Rainbow prefers Mindflayer/Ulitharid

Shape Changer [:air] vs Wyrm
Pro:
Has +1 hp
Con:
Costs 1 more
Has -1 attack
Wyrm is superior

Shape Shifter [:air] vs Elite Wyrm
Pro:
Is immune to Otyugh for two devours
Con:
Costs 2 more
Has -2 attack
Depending on the frequency of Oytugh either is superior.

Shape Changer/Shape Shifter [:darkness] vs Gargoyle
Pro:
Is immune to Otyugh for two devours
Costs less initially to play
Mono
Con:
Does not have Stone Form
Slightly less efficient attack/cost
Gargoyle is slightly superior. Reduce Lycanthrope to :darkness :darkness/ :darkness and it would be difficult to choose between them. If it is not an easy choice then it is likely to be balanced

Shape Changer/Shape Shifter [:death] vs Chrysora/Physalia
Pros:
Is immune to Otyugh for two devours
Mono
Has more attack
Cons:
Costs more
It would be difficult to choose between them. If it is not an easy choice then it is likely to be balanced

Shape Changer/Shape Shifter [:earth] vs Gargoyle
Pros:
Safe from Otyugh
Mono
Cons:
Less Attack
Risky decks would use Gargoyle, Cautious decks would use Shape Changer/Shape Shifter

Shape Changer [:entropy] vs Maxwell’s Demon [unupped]
Pros:
Cost 1 less
+1 hp
Cons:
-1 attack
I think it is balanced.

Shape Shifter [:entropy] vs Maxwell’s Demon [upped]
Pros:
+1 hp
Cons:
Costs 1 more
About the same. I think it is balanced.

Shape Changer/ Shape Shifter [:fire] vs Fire Spirit/Fire Spectre
Pros:
Immune to Otyugh for two devours
More attack
Cons:
Costs more
I think this is balanced.

Shape Changer/ Shape Shifter [:gravity] vs Otyugh/Elite Otyugh
Pros:
More Attack
More HP
Cons:
Cost 0-1 more
Overpowered. Maybe change to :gravity :gravity:Devour [+0|+1]?

Shape Changer [:life] vs Fallen Elf
Pros:
Mono
Immune to Otyugh for two devours
Cons:
-1 Attack
Shape Changer is superior. Maybe increase Mutation to :life :life will balance it?

Shape Shifter [:life] vs Fallen Druid
Pros:
Mono
Immune to Otyugh for two devours
Cons:
Costs 1 more
Only regular mutation
Shape Shifter is superior. Maybe increase Mutation to :life :life will balance it?

Shape Changer [:light] vs Guardian Angel
Pros:
+1 attack
Cons:
Costs 1 more
-2 Hp
I think this is balanced.

Shape Shifter [:light] vs Archangel
Pros:
nothing
Cons:
-6 attack
-1 HP
Shape Shifter is outclassed. Maybe add “remove 1 poison from target creature”?

Shape Changer/Shape Shifter [:time] vs Déjà vu/Elite Déjà vu
Pros:
+1 attack
Immune to Otyugh for two devours
Cons:
Costs 3/6 more
Risky decks would use Déjà vu/Elite Déjà vu. Cautious decks would use Shape Changer/Shape Shifter

Shape Changer [:water] vs Arctic Squid
Pros:
Common
+1 attack
Immune to Otyugh for two devours
Cons:
Costs 1 more
Shape Changer is superior. Maybe decrease the freeze to 2 turns will balance it?

Shape Shifter [:water] vs Artic Octopus
Pros:
Common
+2 attack
Immune to Oytugh for two devours
Cons:
Costs 3 more
One less turn of freeze
Shape Shifter feels stronger. Maybe decrease the freeze to 2 turns will balance it?

Two things you haven't really talked about. First one: Does it only work for your own pillar stack? Because otherwise, the opponent could have a bigger stack of some kind (not unlikely) and its more a gameplay which creture you get. And second: I know this card is to be meant for mono decks, but I think for a quantumtower, you should just get a random one.

NOTES:
When Shape Changer/Shape Shifter is played it changes its form (element and ability) to match the type of the highest individual cluster of pillars or towers -- E.G. if you have 4 fire towers 3 fire pillars and 6 water pillars -- the card will become water as there is more in the water cluster than either of the individual fire clusters
if there is most of Quantum tower/pillars it will transform randomly
if you have no pillars/towers it is played in its 'other' form and the ability is lost (unless reversed and played again)
After it has transformed and you reverse it it will stay in that form and cost its form's quanta to play again
upgraded has the same transformed abilities as unupgraded to not make this card OP....

constructive comments please
what are your thoughts?

Your towers/pillars
And you'll get a random form in a rainbow deck

correct me if I'm wrong

okie dokie - I'm back and ready to respond... lol
1. Kael - nice picture, and as usual don't seem to get my points on this card but yer
2. OldTrees - you are a godsend! +karma man, you really have put thought and detail into each card and I will be (possibly) altering cards to improve upon, you have read, you have thought and you have helped which is the ultimate goal of these thread :) you rock!
3. GhostStalker/Muffin - yes it will only affect YOUR pillar/tower clusters, I will edit that into the 1st post in a moment to make clear :) and yes rainbow (quantum) pillars/towers will give you random stuff, just like if you use nimph tears on one :P (this waas actually in the 1st post if read carefully)
4. someone gave me +karma for one of my posts here :P w00t - I rule ^_^

Shape Changer/ Shape Shifter compared to their mirrored cards
.
..
...
..
.
Yup, I'm not quoting the post, just wanted to let you know whose post I was commenting on though ^^

I have very carefully read and considered your post, and I have come up with the following:
:aether -- fine as it is, balanced and all good
:air -- this one has lots of controversy... on one side (as you have stated and kael likes reminding me of) unupgraded is too weak and upgraded depends on the deck being played but is again, possibly too weak. but with one 1 cost for ability makes it WAY too powerful... so I have decided to leave it as it is (costing 2 for ability) as afterall, it can survive oty for a while so less attack is fine...
:darkness -- sugested cost to be reduced to 2 and 1 instead of 3 and 2.... more similar to lycanthrope, but more mono making it further balanced....however I would like to keep it at 2 each as this card has more attk/HPs than lycan so 2 each would be more balanced... Cost to be reduced on upgraded to 2 (so is 2 on each)....
:death -- fine as it is, balanced and all good
:earth -- fine as it is, balanced and all good
:entropy -- fine as it is, balanced and all good
:fire -- fine as it is, balanced and all good
:gravity -- is a tad OP atm, sugested to increase cost to 2 and only gain HP, however this is not devour then.... so I am going to call it 'Swallow' - cost 2 and only gain ATTACK - it can 'kill' oty and elite oty when they are first played unless they are momentumd/blessed etc which increases it's power greatly - therefore cost to become 2... also gaining HPs early gives it huge advantage over any other card played that is not immaterial, so this will only gain ATTACK rather than HPs, as it's attack is fairly low -- also this is no longer devour - I think swallow sounds acceptable....
:life -- i agree unupgraded is superior, being imune to oty and RoF etc, but only -1 attack, so yes costing 2 will balance... but I disagree with upgraded, Druid is superior purely because of Improved Mutation, so it will still only be normal mutation but only 1 cost still....
:light -- agreed - upgraded is way UP compared to others of 'its kind'... I love the idea of purify mixed in there, and am interpretting that into the remake... Upgraded shall have the same cost and the ability shall be 'Cleanse'or'Cleansing': +5 HPs (like heal) and also -1 Posion counter (similar to purify)...
:time -- fine as it is, balanced and all good
:water -- unupgraded will be the same but freeze for 2 turns (as mentioned in possible changes)... upgraded will be the same - only 2 turns of freeze, therefore making it (compared to AOcto) +2 attack, oty immune, but costing 3 more and 2 turns less freeze, I was going to keep 3 turns but I think with this card being 'common' and the other +s will not make a huge difference -- this is then more balanced

Very soon I will make the changes above (in short below) and modify the shapes post (2nd one with all the cards)
feel free to comment on the cards and changes I am/will make....

Changes (in short)
 :air -- STAYING SAME
:darkness -- COST TO BECOME 2 :darkness ON BOTH ABILITIES
:gravity -- SKILL TO BECOME 'SWALLOW' (same as devour but +1/+0 and costing 2 :gravity)
:life -- UNUPGRADED TO BECOME 2 :life FOR ABILITY
:light -- UPGRADED SKILL TO BECOME 'Cleanse'/'Cleansing' (depending on comments/what I feel like putting when I change it) (SAME AS HEAL BUT REMOVE 1 POISON COUNTER TOO)
:water -- SKILL FREEZE REDUCED TO ONLY 2 TURNS OF FREEZING
