NOTES:
Protection counters are a kind of status effects like poison counters on a creature, which serve as additional HP of that creature. If a creature with protection counters receives some damage from any source, including Fire Shield, Gravity Pull, poison counters, and Acceleration, then the protection counters will be subtracted by the amount of the damage, instead of the creature's HP. If a creature receives damage from a single source whose amount is greater than the number of protection counters on it, then the remaining damage will be ignored.

If a creature having at least one protection counter takes an instant-kill effect, such as Devour, Paradox, or Freeze+Shockwave, then the creature still remains alive and its HP is unchanged, but all its protection counters will be dissipated (driven to 0) at once. I wonder if this should also be applied to 'sacrificial effects' such as Immolation, Infect/Plague (of Virus|Retrovirus), or Catapult. (as of now I think it will.)

Note that this spell does not increase the actual amount of a creature's HP, so it does not affect damage dealt by using Catapult nor does it prevent a creature from being targeted by the Paradox ability. An Otyugh with protection counters still cannot devour larger creatures, and a Voodoo Doll does not inflict damage on the opponent player while protection counters are on it.

Protection counters cannot be healed back. Recasting Titan's Protection/Guard on a creature with some protection counter will reset the amount of counters to 30/50, respectively.

Nice idea. Boosts Gravity's strategies by providing a HP-saving form of anti-CC, while being a spell anyone would want. I'd enjoy this if it made it in game.

While revising this I found a minor issue: Nobody would do it, but what happens if casted on a Spark?

My explanation is that, unless otherwise buffed, a Spark fulfills the death condition (0 HP) upon its first attack, and the protection counters instantly wear off instead, to prevent its death. However, immediately after the counters wear off, the HP of the Spark is still 0, so it eventually dies. Thus it is no use.

Here the point is that, in the current version, protection counters protect a creature once from any kind of death.

A good idea but another card that makes gravity weak against Reverse time? :/

I think it seems so because Gravity is the element which is good at manipulating something, and any creature-manipulation mechanism (buff, granting skill, etc. except immortality) is vulnerable to Reverse Time.

I seriously considered giving resistance to Reverse Time as well, but I thought that did not fit the theme.
