Hold up:
Sekhmet, among other things, was an Egyptian deity that protected the Pharaoh in battle. ...
You know, I'm kind of wondering whether or not this card should have more synergy with Pharaoh, but seeing that the 'Protection' ability can be cast on anything, I'd say that this card would help mono-time a lot when dealing with creature control, instead of having to splash
for Anubis' immortality.
Not to mention, it's probably BETTER than immortality, in case immortal creatures are poisoned or going against fire shield - just pop protection on the target creature, and you get to play it again refreshed rather than having to use rewind/eternity on it prematurely or letting it die because it's already been immortalized. An army of these would make it impossible for the enemy to kill you, assuming that these cards can protect themselves.
You should lower the cost of both cards to 5
, and make it a perfect 1:1 ratio. Anubis has a cost of 8 only because he can make creatures untargetable, while this card will only rewind one card at a time if it dies. Actually, what would happen if Sekhmet was protecting a card and was killed instead of the target card? Would it just die? Or would it automatically be rewound?
Finally, nice art. ^^ I hope this gets moved up to the crucible, even though I want my ideas to advance...
