I am not sure.
However it is not a cheaper stronger version of Lava Golem.

is the ability lobotomizable??

IIRC, acceleration|overdrive works as a lobotomy

does that make the conversation as to whether or not this creature is better than the lava destroyer pointless??

doll, puppet and golem all have the same feel, at least for me  :P
