TEXT:
The next targeted spell will cost twice as much and also target the slot to the left and right of the target.

ART:
Raptor6789
IDEA:
Raptor6789
NOTES:
Description:
Once this spell is cast, the next targeted spell (For example, Lightning is targeted, while Rain of Fire is not) will automatically target the slot on the left and right of the target within that domain (AKA permanents or creatures, but not both) as well. This gives you the ability to magnify the power of or CC or PC, but it also allows to to extend buffs to more of your own creatures at the same time.

Notes:
-CC, PC, and buffs all apply.
-Immortal creatures or permanents cannot be targeted.
-Weapons and shields are considered their own domain, so targeting a weapon, shield, or adjacent permanent will not affect the other shield or weapon, respectively. (Good idea?)
-Because targeting is done consecutively just like Rain of Fire, Fractal and Nightmare will fill the hand with the first creature targeted. The spell will target the adjacent creatures, but the hand will already be filled.
-Creature, permanent, and weapon skills are not considered targeted spells. (Good idea?)

does all adjacent spots mean the 2 adjacent to the target or the entire row?

it's certainly interesting. Could be very icky with antimatter though. or congeal, or BB or idk it seems more and more OP :P

or rewind.... my god. OP

My interpretation of adjacent is the two on the left and right, the two on the top, and the two on the bottom. Sure it might be powerful if the entire field is full, but that rarely happens. Most likely it'll just be extending the effect to the one on the left and the one on the right.

Maybe but idk... some spells would be OP I think if applied to multiple at once.

monolight with any mark+cc seems quite powerful. especially rewind, congeal, and BB.

Sky blitz doesn't target, so nothing extra happens.

:O I didn't even thing about mitosis!

With mitosis, you'd still have to pay the cost of summoning each creature. What do you all think should be done to decrease the card's power?

Easiest way would make it affect less slots.

Well, no one else seems to be responding, so I guess I should just re-define adjacent to mean the two slots on the left and right of the target.

I think including the rows above and below should be fine. Thats what I would expect a new player would think when they see "adjacent".

If you do redefine it, you should probably add in that explanation to the card text for clarity.

For most of the spells in the game I think this would be a pretty nice addition.

I would say its on the pricey side, except that there are a few spells where the combo's potential would warrant needing a high cost.

-Mitosis
-PU; Massive SoW-Wyvern-Sky-Blitz OTK anyone!? ( *cowers in fear from this combo's potential OPness* )
-Immolation; just think of the pheonix and spark abuse

I like some of the combo potentials, but PU seems like it will be OPsville for sure. Not sure how to fix that.

Whether the glass is half full or half empty is a moot point. It is always filled to the brim. It is only a matter of by what. The real question is: What fills you?
If your zombie plan is
kill -9 `ps l | awk '{print $2" "$3" "$9}' | grep "Z" | awk '{printf("%s ",$2)}'`
You might be a unix junky

Yeah while this card opens up some cool combos, it's hard to exclude the OP ones. And there definitely are OP combos using this card.
