Would this be an instant deckout if the opponent's deck was empty, or would it have no effect?

Deck discard has been proposed several times before, but this is an interesting take on it. Posting to follow.

I think that having no effect is a better balance. But if your opponent already has 0 cards on the deck then you just need to survive your turn to win. This is not a problem currently, unless you do something stupid like bolting yourself or if you have creatures with SoW against a reflective shield. In both cases I think the loss is deserved. Using the upped one when your opponent has 1 card would leave it then with 0 cards, but you still need to survive your turn to win.

This is a very interesting take on this indeed. I like it, and I believe it looks to be balanced.

Remember sky, there will be more than 1 copy of this, and up to 6. Thus, you can get rid of 12 copies of cards.

I wonder... Bone Wall + this + SoB could be an interesting attempt at a deckout.

Kind of UP, unless they bottomdecked both their eternities or something.

Trying to deckout an eternity stall is not a good idea anyways. You can also pack some steals if you are worried about that.

Well, unless you're making a pure stall deck, there's not much use for this.

Though of course you could just make a pure stall deck.

the unnuped costs too much for what it does i think

there is no imediate gain when using this card, you are trading 3 + ? quanta and 2 cards for 1 card that the opponent may not need to use, it will not change the opponent resources, he will still have his hand, field and quanta untouched

if you compare it to basilisk blood: 6 bb costs 12 quanta and can delay a maximum of 36 turns of damage from creatures, thats enough to nuliffy 2 of your opponent big monsters, in other words you will trade 1 card 2 quanta for 1 card and 6-10 quanta (ideal situation), you will be 4-10 quanta "ahead" of your opponent

now compare it to immolation: costs 0 quanta, 2 cards for 6 mono quanta and 11 of the other elements, your opponent doesnt lose anything in this case but you will be ahead  by 6 quanta, you will also ignore quanta control

my suggestion is to drop the creature sacrifice cost, maybe make it optional or drop the cost to 0 and keep the creature sacrifice cost

The resource you are depleting from your opponent is cards in deck. This is useful mostly if your strategy is decking out your opponent. This means that you are already stalling your opponent. The idea is then to use your creatures to speed up the stall. Because of this it is actualy OP to remove the sacrifice part, as you wouldn't need to put creatures in your deck and could use the deck space to make your stall stronger. About the card advantage, I designed the upped version so that if it is used naively it would give a 0 card advantage and then made the unnuped effect weaker.  You can also use the unnuped version without losing card advantage if you create the creatures you are sacrificing.

Even though it uses only cards from the crucible, the deck that team :water submitted in the 4th round of Brawl is a great example of how this is intended to be used http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,49522.0.html (it uses the upped version, but the unupped is only slightly slower).
