I don't know why you guys are so excited about entropy.  Earth either gives you earthquake, the most powerful spell in the game, or stone skin, for an infinite max HP loop.

When I created this same mechanic on Pseudocaster | Metacaster (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,4032.msg44198#msg44198) there was a great deal of checks and balances that needed to be put into place. It does not appear that you have considered the ease of multiple use or repetitive collection of a small range of cards. Consider a Darkness deck that draws Steal, Drain Life, or Liquid Shadow for only 4 quanta and the plausibility of 6 of this permanent on the table at one time.

To balance this, maybe make the card drain 2 quanta of your Mark per turn? And the ability cost can go up to 5 as well.

Another possible solution: Destroy this card after X uses/turns.
To be or not to be, I can do both at once. Go learn quantum mechanics, n00b.

I can possibly change the effect to generate a random spell when used; 50% chance of that spell being the same element as your Mark. That sound good?
