To save card text, you can have the ability itself cost 5 | 9 
quanta, so that the ability itself says: "Generate 5 | 9 quanta of your mark"
I like this overall, and I also think there needs to be a counterpart that turns your mark quanta into random quanta. Discord sort of already does this effect....although perhaps the unupped could be "solve" and the upped version "restart" (i.e. turn 9 mark quanta into random quanta)?

Ah yes, I see. Think my wording was just bad, as "turn 5 quanta into..." suggests you need 5 quanta in the first place....will try re-jiggle as obv not clear. Think OldTrees mentioned a good wording, using something like "absorbs 5 quanta, then gives you 5 quanta of your mark" kinda thing
In response to it being OP in terms of tripling quanta:
- first, it takes up a card in your deck (which could have be used for something else/better), and can obv be destroyed/stolen etc.
- it chooses the quanta at random, so the more of one quanta you have (eg. your mark quanta) then the more likely it chooses that quanta -> nothing actually happens, since it turns mark quanta into mark quanta....so hopefully eliminating misuse for the likes of drain life etc
