The upgraded way outshadows Shard of Wisdom because I can use it on any creature, not just immaterial ones, and I still get half of the damage boost for half of the cost.  Maybe increase cost by 1, or make it give +1 | +2 or something like that.  Seems a bit OP at least for the upped version.
It would lobotomize the previous active skill correct?

SoW has been changed to be usable on creatures besides immaterial. How did you miss that?

Yes, but it doesn't give spell damage to creatures that aren't immaterial.

Yes, it would. It replaces the skill, like Acceleration.

Besides the cost how is this combo different, in terms of damage advantage, than just casting antimatter? I'd be much happier if SoW worked as this card does actually.

Also of issue is whether an hp buff belongs in Aether (Consider Phase Salvager)

non-upgraded is more versatile as it can be used to lobotomize the creature with no drawback

and upped should cost at least 2

I suggest correcting the grammar on the upgraded card text.  Also, +1 casting cost on both is probably fair.  It would require some 'testing' or math-ing, but it seems a deck of upgraded Aether quanta, 6 SoW, 6 Angry Psion's Eye, and 4 Immortal would be VERY very strong.  I'm not sure it would be in to OP territory though...
