@kevkev: Yes, it references attack. Thanks for the link, but I've actually made another picture for this, and I'm more satisfied with my new version. You'll see it when I update the card.

@dragonhuman: What, and that's not already the case? [/sarcasm] Nah, but seriously, that is something I'm worried about. Any suggestions?

EDIT: Changes made -- new art, and it's now :gravity instead of :earth

I'd say its still overpowered but heres one of my thoughts

Turn it into a permanent and have it affect both people in this way

each players creature may only attack if its stronger than your opponents strongest creature (for however you define strongest)

so thusly whoever has the better creatures will be able to attack and not the opponent of that person

That's an idea, but I kinda prefer for it to be one-sided. However, how about if I add this? "Your strongest creature(s) will not attack." The intent is that this would ignore immortality, and if there were a tie, all of the appropriate creatures would be affected.

Gravity has Firemasters (1 gravity quanta) and the skill ablaze, so it will keep growing. Make the cost like 8/7 or something of the such. Right now it can be used in most rainbows, which is something Zanz, Chriskang and SG don't want.

Up the cost to 8|7? Sounds pretty good to me. Think that alone would be enough, or should I also do something else, such as what I mentioned in my previous post?

The problem here is that a single one of these cards can completely lock down the opponent, no questions asked.

True...

Well, off the top of my head, in addition to upping the cost, I can think of a few options.

The one I've already proposed, which would be also preventing the referenced creature(s) from attacking. Not allowing the shield to "see" immortal creatures.Having it return to the hand at the end of the opponent's turn. (This way, not only is Protect Artifact pretty much useless on it, but you also have to replay it each time; with the cost at 8|7, that could get expensive.)Having something happen to the creature it was referencing at the end of the opponent's turn. (Kill it? Rewind it? Weaken it? I don't know.)

For now at least, I'm going to up the costs to the suggested 8|7, and have the shield reference the base attack instead of the current attack.

I am, of course, still open to suggestions for improvements.

Well, my intent is that the check will use the default attack, even if the "full attack" has been modified. So, no matter how big your Lava Destroyer is, the shield will be checking against a 7.
