ART:

IDEA:
Joseph7
NOTES:
Pluto's Curse: The quanta gained is equal to half the cost of the card(rounded up). Chance of death is 30%.
Pluto's Execration: The quanta gained is equal to the cost of the card divided by three (rounded up) and doubled. Chance of death is 50%.

Recurring means that when the creature selected to give forth quanta dies, the player possessing this permanent must choose a new creature to curse on their next turn.
The curse lasts just twice (2 creatures), the execration lasts 3 times (3 creatures).

You must use all the curse charges the card allows you to use. If you fail to use all the curse charges the card gives you:
1. You will receive 10 damage for each unused charge
2. Up to 5 death quanta will be consumed for each unused charge
Since you refused to use the curse of death and riches, the curse of death and riches applies itself to you.

Pluto is the king of two great powers: wealth and death, riches and the Underworld. His powers can make you rich in wealth or in cadaverous happenings, depending upon what he sees fit.

Just bumping this up...I'd like some feedback before I consider submitting it to the crucible.

So, you must use the ability after playing it?
It is the greatest mystery of all...

It is very interesting. I like the idea, and of course death is the only thing balancing it. I feel like with added bonus for upping, the cost should stay the same.

So, you must use the ability after playing it?
Yes, that is the way it works. The targeting must occur immediately after the card is played, on the same turn, on a creature. Since it is a curse, you cannot opt out of it and wait for later. It must be used immediately, and fully unless it is destroyed, then the curse only lasts upon the creature still cursed.

It is very interesting. I like the idea, and of course death is the only thing balancing it. I feel like with added bonus for upping, the cost should stay the same.
Do you suggest to add another benefit to the upped version, or to keep the upped cost at 3 :death?

My opponent has 6 rays of light
I cast Pluto's curse on one of them it dies. Who chooses the new target?
I cast Pluto's curse on another of them. It survives. I infect it. It dies when it attacks. Who chooses the new target?

The player in charge of the permanent is always the one who chooses the creature that is to be cursed next. In the situation hypothesized, you always choose the next creature to be affected. The case that the second ray dies due to its infection does not matter - it had the curse and dies, and thus counts as one of the souls claimed by Pluto through the curse.
Just as a reminder, the rays of light would not generate any extra quanta due to the curse, since they do not cost anything to begin with.

So when my opponent's photon, cursed by my hand dies on their turn, the game pauses and never unpauses?
I cannot make any choices during my opponent's turn since my computer has no control or data at that time.

The game does not stop. The first action on your next turn that you would have to take would be to curse another creature. The game does not pause for you to curse another creature; you must wait for the opponent's turn to be finished in order for you to curse another creature.

Maybe I totally got this wrong and my question is obsolete, dunno: When my first targeted creature dies and I have to select another one but there is none, not on my field nor on the opponent's, what happens then?
Dayovernight: Trolled someone with a bone shield
Dayovernight: I had 1 hit left and then I replaced my weak shield with the bone shield I was holding forever
