Cool, almost seems UP to cloak, except you realize: this means lack of buffing and use of advantageous effects as well.

Since you can plan around it, perhaps a raise in cost by 1 each.

Is that art Oil or blackness? If blackness, should the title be Pitch Black/Dark?

But seriously? I'd hate this if my opponent played it. Couldn't ability anything.

Total Effect:
All creatures/permanents are Invisible for 2 turns but AoE will not remove Invisibility
Activated abilities are disabled for 2 turns
Your opponent starts to panic from lack of information (especially if you quickly time a CC/PC + Pitch Black combo)

It probably should cost a little bit more but it is fairly close to balanced by my reckoning.

Steal (Shield) + Pitch Black would be an interesting combo

I just realised ... this + Silence stops your opponent from doing ANYTHING.

To let everyone know, this idea has inspired me to make a series. The idea is the spells will all last 2 turns or be used to cancel the opposite element. I need help with a Light affect that would about as annoying as this is for Darkness. I have several of the other elements thought of I will present them when I get home.

Could do something with "Blinding" all creatures for 2 turns (high chance of missing).
