This is a quartet hybrid card for "Material"
For those unfamiliar, a hybrid cost can be paid with quanta from any of its component elements.

There does not appear to be any card back art for this hybrid yet, but the mark was already present (thanks to the crucible pages).

Mindgate and SoSe users will have lots of fun with this one ;)

The upgraded and unupgraded versions could easily be flipped. I mainly wanted there to be a benefit to having both the upgraded and unupgraded versions of the card in the same deck rather than have a single card that could do both.

I may be starting a series soon focused on expanding the three elemental class quartets
Cardinal - Aether, Entropy, Gravity, Time
Material - Air, Earth, Fire, Water
Spiritual - Darkness, Death, Life, Light

For now, this card will tie in nicely with the Clatharate Fissure card I started with:

I'm not sure about the bird part, but the background might make a nice card back for cardinal hybrids.

I'm guessing the upgraded one is supposed to make a random upgraded card?

Exactly.
So with both upgraded and unupgraded you could effectively cycle until you get the 'random' card you want ;)  ... although that may take a lot of effort...

I am not very convinced of its power; in fact I wouldnt expect it to be op with the bonus text "that card costs 0" as you already paid at least 5 :underworld and 2 cards just to gain a card that has a chance of being marginally more useful. Obviously, flavourwise the cost has to stay the same, but it needs a buff (maybe actually the cheesy "card costs 0")
