I think it is intended to suck up their hand space. Unless they generate any form of  quanta, their hand would fill up. With the upped version, it costs more to play, but makes it harder for the opponent to get them out. I think?

for the upped, i suggest having no death upkeep if you want that price. i understand this card as being a sort of 'soft nightfall' and therefore, should cost maybe 5 hp to discard

Hmmmmm true... Should I make it cost 4  but absorb no quanta instead?

Did anyone else recognize, that if you use that card, and the opponent can play it even once, then both hands (of you and your opponent) will get filled with this card whenever a creature dies. So this card counters itself if you play against another death deck or a rainbow deck.

I am not sure how to balance a card like that. but it should definitely do something nasty if you discard it like infect a random creature card on your side of the field (or damage yourself, like suggested already.)

To fill him upp faster you can add some nighmares. Or use reverse times. every card you reverse will never be seen again (if you have enough cats)

maybe make it consume  each turn this card is in your hand instead of having an upkeep, and that it creates another kind of card in your opponent's hand that consumes  per turn in his hand as well but that isn't an exact copy of this card

yea but you'll have to spend 1 as well when it's in your hand...
