A normal Crimson Dragon is 12/3. A Crimson Dragon that is not 12/3 is a mutant. Basically, I want this to be able to summon all sorts of creatures, but not all creatures are 3/3. So I decided to go with mutants, because they can have any stats and any abilities.

If it counts for anything, I totally get it, BS.  It wouldn't be a Menagerie if it only summoned a bunch of the same thing over and over again.  :)

Instead of making mutants, the spell could select real creatures from a short pick list

:light - Pegasus
:darkness - Minor Vampire
:life - Cockatrice
:death - Flesh Spider
:air - Firefly
:earth - Graboid
:water - Blue Crawler
:fire - Ash Eater
:gravity - Otyugh
:entropy - Lycanthrope
:time - Fate Egg
:aether - Phase Spider

In as many cases as possible, the card is Animalesque and within the 2-4 cost range. matching the cost you are paying.

Actually, i agree with Kael here. His solution may mean a little more coding, but it would result in a more plausible result.

I don't want this card to strengthen rainbow decks more than it needs to. I want it to generate 3/3 mutants with no abilities.

Perhaps I should just think about this card for one second...
As far as I know, this would be the only card you could rush out multiple copies of.
Imagine a deck with RoL, light mark, adrenaline, rustlers, empathic bonds, and this.
You run out bonds, and a few adrenalined photons to get your light quantum up. Then you play this card, create some more life quantum. Rinse and repeat.
Sounds like a fun little deck ;)

On topic, great card idea/series! I really look forward to an 'advanced spellcasting' series of elements. It bring the focus back to duo/mono decks, which I always look forward to.

Generate the creatures Kael listed but NO ABILITIES. Plus, it gives the spell a downside - Eternity and Rewind.
