because that way, if you destroy the mask, the creature loses the buff

it only affects 1 creature so the card has many limitations that prevent the empowerment: 
-freeze, delay, etc the creature
-having little amount of creatures (or easily kill able ones)
-as this card is a permanent, destroying this permanent will eliminate the buff

i think being able to stack multiple of these would make the card overpowered

It's not really overpowered.

Let's say: You have ten devourers. (Just go with it.)

With nightfall:

1/3, total 10/30

With eclipse:

2/3, total 20/30

With Mask of Empathy:

0/2 and one 10/12, total 10/30

With Mask of Bonding:

0/2 and one 20/22, total 20/40

How this would work with PU? Both creatures get the same buff from the same permanent? The copied creature doesn't get the buff? If it gets the buff, what if my opponent has the mask and I PU the creature? Does the buff count my creatures or the opponent ones?

I'd assume this leaves a status like adrenaline or immaterial.

it's buff would get updated at the end of every turn, just like hope.

Now, with PU, it could either include or exclude the bonus stats from the old one.

That would be pretty hard to program, having a slightly different status for each creature affected by this, since each would be different.

The copied buff keeps getting updated then, I assume. It would mean too that if I copy a creature from my opponent the buff depends on how many creatures he has, even though the creature is on my side. Right?
