It is designed to counter quanta denial by getting the quanta instantly which otherwise at the end of your turn. Quanta from mark do not depend on mark power. (normal version generate 1 while upgraded version generate 3 no matter your mark is 1x, 2x or 3x).
When playing this, pendulums will flip as if 1 turn has passed. Playing multiple of these in the same turn still only delay your towers by 1 turn and works like immolation for any elements. With mark, you are completely free of delay.
