maybe u r right, my idea was he being useless unless u combo him with something, if more people think that it should be 1/1 i change it
i'd leave it. we have other useless cards when unupgraded --> shards
and unlike shards, this card is adorable.

This is a good idea. Not something overly powerful and packing two-four of those in a deck would be great with a few balllightnings/sparks so set it of early without nightfall. And Sparks/balllightnings works well with the death combo to fuel vultures/boneyards/bonewalls. Would synergy very well with darkness/death indeed.

I certainly approve.

Just to clarify at 1 Hp it can only devour a 0 Hp creature which means you will need to play a spark for it to devour something as any other 0 Hp dies instantly.

So in saying that maybe the upgrade does need to be 0|2 but thats by the by.

I like the idea of having miniture power creatures. It seems that the game is missing some although there are a few minor ones out there.

My idea was to not be easily used on rainbows, so limiting it to 1hp makes this goal ;)

if u really thing it need to be 0/2 i should change it after all u r the card curator, but i think making him 0/2 make him too powerful just for being 1 quanta, hav quint and devoured. i think this cad should be harder to use.
if not also will end like the guy said above in any rainbow and thats not the idea

I don't think that he is seeing the value of nightfall and eclipse. Keep the card at 0/1 so it won't be used in the rainbow. (nightfall makes it 2hp and so can eat the 1 hp creatures. I know only one rainbow deck that concentrates on darkness and could use this card. (Ston3d Jackson).

Can I have this card yet? Pleeeeaaaaaaaaaase?!?

For some reason, the idea keeps occuring to have the original cost 1 random quanta, but make the Soul Eater cost darkness.

I like it, not overpowered and looks hard to make it even powerful. We need more complicated little critters that have questionable abilities, if only to make things more interesting.  :)

how about  make it just a 0/1 with devour abillity unupped and make it immateria when upgraded couse then unupped versions is the worst card in whole game

Occurred to me too.

But then it wouldn't have the synergy with Nightfall/Eclipse (Supposedly, due to the fact that there is currently no field-buff for aether/light, we can't know that it'll affect them).

Making the unupped simply free would be alright, it'd probably still get the synergy, after all, mali cells used to.

The card itself, however, is simply one of the best concepts I have seen on the forums. It's laughably simple, has synergy with a number of cards, and isn't something you can just throw into a darkness deck.
I ask nothing of humanity but fairness in all things, but I do not expect even that.
