The Absorb cost per Copy created should be kept (with possible scaling) but would fit better as  :aether.

add the % back into this idea.
make all cost be :aether similarly the way Dissipation Shield works for :entropy .
Can we make the upped do like Dissipation Field, and have random absorption?

I am not sure on how to estimate the casting cost with decent accuracy. However these measures should make it possible.

Note: If there's a percent of failure, we don't need any limits, and the cost-per-copy would be a lot cheaper.
It makes sense with life because you are creating new life, like mitosis.

As it stands, this is the kind of shield that I would just drop in a mono-aether and chain.

The :life drain is so much that trying to keep it is not worth it, it would be simpler to just drop this shield out to copy everything for one turn and then play another one as soon as you get it.
I'd assume that if you don't have the quanta to copy the first creature, it'll be destroyed before the second creature attacks, not after all the creatures for that turn attack (like dissipation).
Also, in my suggestion "shield isn't destroyed after counters are gone and if you don't have enough quanta to copy," if you don't have enough quanta then a copy just won't be made.

The theme here is Life and Aether hence the name Lither,
and what do both elements have in common? the creation of new creatures.
Being a shield it creates Offence via Defense.
I think an energy needs to be used in order to create the new life. that is why I added the absorb part.
The closest thing we have to this is Dissipation Shield + PU and plus 1/2 DR.

This would be added candy to the creature-less deck ideas.
I do like the idea of being left with a 1/2 DR shield after the copies are made.

A scaling percent failure would be better than a static percent failure.
Whether the Absorb cost needs to scale will depend on where the player is paying for the shield (Casting Cost, Triggered Absorb Cost)
An absorb cost in :life would work if a keyword or term were added to focus in on creating new life instead of teleporting existing life. I support this change.

Not necessarily.
Currently you are using the Aetheric verb 'Copy'. Replacing it with a Life verb would be sufficient.

To keep in line with bonewall and such, take the counters off the card art and reword the text to "...Generate up to 10[or 15]spawns of attacking creatures. ..."
Also, specify in the Notes that "spawn" means "copy" and not "daughter creature" or "out-of-card creature."
Actually, I would reason that the card mechanic would be more Lifey if it spawns a daughter creature like the creatures from fractal or mitosis.
I think it's currently balanced in both ways, but you might want to address OldTrees' chance-scaling-with-cost suggestion.

Well, I've always thought of Mitosis as the "spawning" card, and daughter creatures sound more Lifey than copied creatures.
And mutants work just like mitosis/TU(whichever effect you pick for this card) work, generate an out-of-card of the same creature or generate a mutant of the same creature with a random extra buff of +1/+1 to +4/+4 and a new skill.
