I'm not sure I understand why it has Adrenaline.
With Adrenaline this creature attacks 4 times with 1 attack so it deals 1 damage 4 times, net total 4 damage. It can provide synergy with buff cards like momentum while balancing it out (multiple attacks means it can die rather quickly to Thorn Caparace or Fire Buckler.)

I don't think the Adrenaline is necessary, despite the possible synergy with other cards.  I would assume you would use Life Adept/Life Sage against a deck packing damage CC.  If so, is it reasonable to expect that same deck to pack CC that can snipe the said Life Adept/Life Sage ?  To expose it to other CC, like poison, weakens it unnecessarily.  I'd remove the Adrenaline and raise the ATT.

Considering Life's use of rushes a few consecutive hits makes more sense to me rather than one large hit.  Innate Adrenaline on the card makes the card more versatile with buffing and the healing on it's own is cost ineffective compared to Guardian Angel unless you have a lot of creatures that took AoE damage, or maintaining Poison gained from Plague or Thorn Carparace, which seems kind of situational.

Also, with buff cards like Momentum, you can potentially double this card's damage output to a technical 8 | 5, while on an ordinary 4 | 5 creature you'd just get a 5 | 5 with Momentum. Overall, the Adrenaline gives the Sage multiple uses that can even work with themselves (for example you could make a momentum deck with this and some chargers and use the Sages to then cover any RoF's being played, or you could play a Massive Dragon/Armagio acceleration deck with this and splash in momentum for a quick 8 | 5 attack or an accelerated creature with Momentum).

Well, I'd assume that the Life Sage would make potions, both for offensive and defensive use since Life is associated with plants and healing. Since Adrenaline could technically be a potion, I decided that might be something interesting to try using.

it is still relatively weak compared to archangel which has 7/7 and can mend 5 hps on a single creature.
I'd say this card is essentially the opposite of Archangel.
having weak attack but good range of healing, while Archangel has mid-high attack  and limited healing range.
However, this costs 5 while archangel costs 6.

So in terms of overall balance between cost and ability values, Archangel actually overshadows this.

Archangel: 6 cost for 7/7 stats + singular healing of 5hp for 1 :light.
 total stats-heal and cost calculation ratio  14: 2.8/2:7 = 14:1.4: 7

Life Sage: 5 cost for 1/5 stats + all range healing of 3hp for 2 :life. total stats-heal and cost calculation ratio
 6: 2: 7

conclusion:

Archangel has 14 stat points and average healing potential of 1.4 (2.8 divided by 2 because of singular target healing) for an average ratio cost of 7

while Life sage has 6 stat points and average healing potential of 2.0 (not divided because of all range healing) for an average cost range of 7

So essentially, Archangel greatly overshadows this for basically the same price ratio.

Therefore, this card should either remain as it is or lower its cost by one. having adrenaline is fine because it has a chance to counter itself (fire shield, carapace) and it can get lobo'd.
