Notice the ward only triggers if the creatures die when it's NOT your turn.  Thus, you can't kill your own creatures on purpose and trigger this.  Technically you could do so with Gravity pull, but that's 3 :death and 2 :gravity for what Unstable Gas can do better.

I like effects that give options to the opponent. And it is cheap enough for rainbows,  :)
