An art suggestion for the card:

When I have more time I could trace it in photoshop and give it a more finished look.

Now that is just impressive...

Very nice art concept.
I think I can pull that off in hexagon and bryce. Maybe use GIMP of Photoshop for the swirling mist effect.
Spoiler for 3D vase model:

More to come soon.

Whether the glass is half full or half empty is a moot point. It is always filled to the brim. It is only a matter of by what. The real question is: What fills you?

I recommend using a set of smoke brushes (it's what I used for the art of Chromatic Aberration) in photoshop to get the swirl effect (don't know if that was clear from the drawing, but the swirls are the creatures being dragged inside the urn). That vase is looking real good (better than I could make in photoshop, for sure).

Hmmm... I'll have to break out photoshop for this one then. Can't seem to find those brushes in GIMP. Thanks for the tip!

The vase is actually relatively easy to make in Hexagon. I just found the text creation tool, so all I had to do was use webdings2 and type some gibberish to get the runes I used. I'm always amazed at the quality of the programs DaZ is giving away these days.

For anyone who cares to pick it up the link is: http://www.daz3d.com/products/hexagon/hexagon-what-is-hexagon

It looks like they've started charging for it now. It costs $14.00 now :( , but I got my copy back during the giveaway promotion when it was free.

I really liked the hands.

Actually while I was thinking about the concept I tried to draw creatures being sucked to the urn. The result looked awful, so I redid it not showing what was being drawn. I'm glad you managed to make that work. You can also think the hands are out to get the creatures :).

Its Hexagon: http://www.daz3d.com/products/hexagon/hexagon-what-is-hexagon

And Bryce7 Pro: http://www.daz3d.com/bryce-7-pro

:))

With some help learning from training tutorials at GeekAtPlayStudios: http://www.geekatplay.com/hexagon.php

...I got the two programs during a promotion blitz for free. Having used them for a year now, I can say they are worth far more than is being charged. Most other stuff like this out there would probably cost hundreds of dollars for the same thing... Although I am sad they aren't still free though.

As for the zodiac signs, they made cool looking runes and were easy to make using the text tool since they are the a-z characters of the Webdings2 font... I.e. they were the easiest things to do (making them by hand would have been a pain in the $%%).
