The ONLY way for this card to become free is if you DRAW it. Say you draw fractal and fractal these. You'd then have to play one for it's high cost, so you have a spot in your hand, then you'd have to play a draw spell, and if you THEN draw one of these, the one you drew would be free. Also: your hand would be full of expensive crappy cards.
