NOTES:
When the Kitsune uses Karma, its ability changes to Repay. (ability swapping mechanics can be found in Burrow/Un-burrow).  The counter is visible to you, but not your opponent.  When Repay is used, it deals damage equal to the number of turns it has been on that creature, at which point Repay changes back to Karma.

In essence, this is an invisible poison that hits all at once when you choose.

So I assume the opponent won't see the action of you using karma on a creature, but it'll still see the creature with the ability changed to repay?

It's not that sneaky, but it can still be unexpected.

Cuteeeee =D I think it's a little weak since Kitsune has to be alive to repay--i understand the purpose of changing ability to repay is to avoid multiple casting, but maybe upon death Kitsune's Karma should auto-repay? Fractal Kitsune ftw though, it's pretty hardy at 5/6 hp. Like the card very much, although I doubt it'll ever actually get implemented because its character is a little too mystical for elements. Nice work PhantomFox [+Karma]  :)

Pfft.  We have all kinds of legendary creatures.  Borrowing one from Eastern cultures would be nice for a change.  We don't have to stick to Egyptian and Western ones.

This, this and this. I would really like to see some Eastern themes in the future.
On topic, I like the card, and I like that Light would get more creature control. Maybe one less attack point to make it more focused for CC.

Perhaps, but the Repay will probably have a visual effect and sound effect too...

Kitsune + Green Nymph = fun times. Love the card, btw.

A card can't have two active abilities.  If Repay is passive, when does it go off?

Read the notes to find your answer.

Ah, ok.  Of course you have limited space, but the card text itself is a little unclear.  Not misleading, just raises questions if you haven't seen the card before.

Suggestion:
 :light :light : Karma
Tag a creature and gain "Repay."
Repay: Target takes 1 damage for each turn tagged.  Gain "Karma."

That may still be too long though.

Alternately, you could design two companion cards.
