IDEA:
Anarook
NOTES:
Has numerous uses.
Use it to pull back one of your own creatures that are in danger.
Use it to blow away one of your opponents really pumped up creatures.
Use it as a form of soft PC.
Use it as a form of soft CC.
Reverse time puts cards back into the deck, thus the deck size is not decreased, this puts cards into hand.
Causes rewind if the hand is full.

I don't really see that as an issue,
I can't say I've ever seen an Air/Aether duo (least of all one that worked)
The only place I would see that possibility is a rainbow deck, and that has other places to focus.

the bigger issue is this + nightmare.  fill the opponents hand with nightmare, then use gale to insta kill as many creatures as you can with all of your gusts

Not quite sure of a couple of things. Why is this a problem with Dimensional Shield? Also, why is the unupgraded version costing 1 :air for an effect almost as powerful as :time Reverse Time?

I think the upgraded version is fine with that minor buff as well as costing 1 :air.

I really like this card Anarook. Nice work. ^_^

EDIT: I just understood that it can target permanents as well. I'm so used to see spells targeting creatures. u_u

Anyways, as it can target permanents as well I'd recommend a cost of 3 :air | 2 :air for its sheer flexibility.

Also, minor pet peeve of mine. Your current card title is in This|Format. Give it a little space to breath, Like | This.

I tried to keep the cost low becasue I figgured the arguement I'd be getting was "Why don't I just use reverse time?"
But that hasn't happened at all  :o
I can see where you'd want the cost increased for its felxibility.
Perhaps it shouldn;t be able to target weapons and shields?(though it will still target flying weapons)
Or just not able to target shields(that would seem to fix quite a few concerns)

I'd say increasing the cost should solve more problems than anything.

Another strategy could be to phrase the card's effect in the following manner:

"Target card is returned to it's owners hand. Deal 3 direct damage instead if it's owner has a shield in play."

The upgraded would use the same phrasing but a cheaper play cost. The theory behind this version is that when you hide behind a shield how much does a gust or gale really do? Maybe a few scrapes? Plus, with Shockwave already being a form of direct spell damage, :air Air could do quite a number with just spells!

EDIT: Also, you probably don't want to be destroying cards if someone's hand is full. This card should do nothing if the hand is full, or 3 direct damage if a shield is in play, should you choose to accept this version.

You have extra space on the unupped card, "rewind if hand is full" or "delay if hand is full" works. Then, since you're taking out the insta-kill 1 HP thing, make it 2 to 1, equal to Reverse Time, just as Shockwave costs the same as Lightning.

I like that this is soft PC and soft CC in one card; I think it should stay that way, and cost hike to 3 :air|2 :air.  You don't need to specify what happens if the opponent's hand is full on the card text proper, just in the "notes" section; besides rewind and delay, it would also be possible to just have the effect fail against a full-handed opponent.  The only situations where your opponent would have a full hand are Nightmare and more than one Gust in the same turn, anyway.
