it to me is like a mixture of parasite and thorn carapace that has been strongly nerfed, only poisoning one creature, and that one creature is going to be the first one that was played most of the time, i would say make it a 100% shield that absorbs quanta but
1) fire shield is 100% but doesnt poison, so that may not be nescessary in the arguement
2) i consider fire as one of the highest quantum producers, needing a lot of quantum to fuel it's cards, so it wouldnt make a difference for it to absorbs say 3 :fire a turn

It would make a difference. Right now, this card is compatible with fire stall decks. Having it absorb 3 quanta per turn would actually cause it to become incompatible, limiting its overall versatility.
Perception is the source of misunderstanding.

Why, yes. I do have a Mindgate necklace. It's how I ninja everyone.

i agree with Nepycros. just because all the rest of the fire cards take lots doesnt mean all have to anyway. people seem to be set that each element has to be the same throughout.. if thats what people want then the game would be horribly boring really fast with no new concepts being added.

outside of that, i didnt want a huge offensive card.. fire has very few things for defense outside of blowing up creatures and the fire shield. i personally would like something that aids in defense.

The effect would be similar to a shield. It would work like this. In the same way an attacking creature would trigger the effect of a shield, a creature would throw a switch in the programming, and the first creature to attack would gain a "burn" counter.
no emeraldtiger it is not like absorb... it is how nypycros stated. it triggers how  a shield would. the only difference is you have to activate it and target a creature for it to add the burn counter when it attacks you.
the attack does not have to hit your health.. it merely has to attack that turn.
so with this, the user has to activate the tower and "target" one creature at a time to place the counter? interesting idea
