NOTES:
It occurred to me that Gravity needs a new shield, and that it should take advantage of the high HP of Gravity creatures.
Similar to Hope, this can block a lot of damage. It also makes Pharaoh slightly more useful.
N is rounded down.

Will block less damage than hope, but will not eat up creature space. I dunno it it's OP, but I like the concept!

Two words: Flying Titans.

2 elite armagios+upgraded gravitational barrier=3 shield. It's not as OP as it looks.
2 flying titans+upgraded gravitational barrier=4 shield. Not too bad.

I think 30 might be a bit high, but that's just me. 25 feels better. also, how does this do for rounding?

Rounds down. Maybe 25 would be better, and it should probably be round up.

I don't know about 25. with 25, two flying titans would make a shield of 5 as opposed to a shield of 4 when it was 30. I still prefer 30 over 25.

How about changing it so unupgraded is 30 and upgraded is 25, and drop the automatic +1?

Love the idea!  I think it's actually weaker than Hope, but that might be okay.  In Light, for instance, one RoL will give +1 to Hope, but with this shield, any creature other than a flying Titan or a ridiculously buffed creature is going to give +1 or less to this shield.

The shield is definitely balanced as is, and it might see some use if it were coded.  I do like Naesala's post above me, though, because that keeps the card at about the same power level, but differentiates it a little more from Hope.

I made a little table to see the values
Total
HP
Every 30
rounded down
Every 30
rounded up
Every 25
rounded down
Every 25
rounded up
00000
100101
250111
301112
401212
501222
602223
702323
752333
903334
1003444
1204445
1254555
1505566
30010101212
As a general rule, i'm for rounding up. This way, if you have a single creature, even with 1 HP, you get 1 point of shielding.
I'm also seeing that there is not much difference between steps of 30 or steps of 50.
The last row shows a situation with 6 Titans in play.

Based on Manuz's chart I'd like to say that rounding up with the unupgraded using 30 and the upgraded using 25 seems the best option

It's like the gravity hope card.

Hmm ... alright. I'd say a cost decrease for both would be warranted as well. Changing.

Edit: Changed. What does everyone think of the new version?

Love the idea, great card and the the new cost is definitely balanced, since it's tougher to set up a defense with this than Hope. No complaints. I'll be voting for it in Crucible.

I think the change is an improvement, though the card was already okay.  The card now differentiates itself from Hope a lot more, since it is based on creature hp, not number of light-emitters, and the cost is cheaper, which reflects the fact that Hope has more raw power in most cases.

Hope also has shroud, but I don't think this card should be given it.  (it hasn't been brought up yet, but I figure I'd mention it, since I've compared this to hope quite a bit)  In RoL/Hope, you can destroy the rays pretty easily, so having the hope be untargetable isn't overpowered, but in gravity, the creatures are nigh unkillable by damage, so the vulnerability should be the shield, since it's obviously not the huge creatures.

It would be very hard to pull off, but this card would be absolutely hilarious if you could manage to fractal voodoo doll and play this.  Voodoo doll has the best hp:casting cost ratio.  Then all Pandemonium breaks loose... :)

A funny little thing that I noticed is that whereas you can power Hope using Firefly Queen, you can power this using Pharaoh.

Ok, for me this card is fine.
Similar to Hope, but different enough. As dragonsdemesne pointed, Hope has its vulnerability in creatures, this has its vulnerability in the shield itself.
I think this opens some new possibilities, and would bring interesting decks.
Post a reminder in this forum when it's submitted to crucible, so i remember to vote it!  :P
