multiple of these is kinda a lot. but with boneyard and the other free death quanta thing i forget...

a lot of stuff to rely on things dying all in one element. can't have infinite of these things.

this does seem more dangerous spamming these than than other two.

my virusfractal with this thing would be quite good.
My default opinion of a new card is OP. Your job as a card creator will have to be to convince me otherwise.

I've been debating between poison or life drain on this, but poison could get OP very easily I think.
The first draft had a 1  :darkness activation cost. It ties in the drain thematically much better, but I wasn't sure if forcing a duo would be good here or not.
My main idea though is to allow :death to use death effects for some direct damage / drain / poison of some kind. I'll probably make a small series to promote other death trigger effects since its a pretty fun mechanic to work with.

If the point is the life drain, make the activation cost :darkness
If you want to keep it mono :death, i think it would be balanced to have it place 1 poison counter for each counter stored & used.

This would be a great card in a stall deck, you could have shrodinger's cat giving you death effects, which the Glyph of sorrow could then use to kill off any monsters, plus you could have steals and bonewalls to stop any weapons.... Hah, I'm already thinking about a deck for a card that isn't even put into the game yet... I hope this card gets in.

Like this idea. IMO pretty much a CC mixed with a purify, which warrants the dual elements. I do think you should lower the cost of the upped version to 3 :death. All in all, it seems balanced by the dual elements combined with the slow speed of its usefulness. Really like it.

As for the art, you could get rid of the second part of that glyph ( い ) ; the kanji on the left essentially communicates the same concept, and would look less clumsy by itself.
