if you cant figure out that chance means "not 100%" and "up to" means "but necessarily not always", you should probably go back to 3rd grade for a couple weeks of math.  the card gives you enough information to use it, the exact mechanics will show themselves through use- or reading.

But neither of those are telling. Is "some chance" 30%, 50%, 1%? Nobody should have to do extensive reading on a card, the card should say what it does.

If there was a creature who was "some number"/"some number" it'd be considered poorly designed. The same should be true for abilities too.

the thing is you *dont have to know the % in order to use the card* it doesnt matter what the chance is.  and its up to 3 saved, you dont need to know the exact mechanic if you desire to be ignorant.  it will still do the work for you.

Like I said before, I appreciate and understand what you are trying to do with this card, but I still feel simpler = better. Not only from a cding point of view, but from a player's perspective. If you want the card to help on the casting on the following card, just give it a "when this card is played, gain between 1 to 4 quanta." Easy enough to understand, easier to code and a better chance of the card gaining acceptance.

Way too complicated... Its special ability should be: "Add 3  when played"

And why the gecko? Its a harmless creature. U could do a Poison Gecko or something but a normal gecko doesnt sound that good :-/

the beauty in the skill that cannot be encompassed by the "gain 3 " is that the amount gained is directly related to how much you spend on the next card, the less you spend, the less you can gain from gecko.
