Considering all the cheap ways you can destroy a permanent, I'd say it should be lowered by 2 in cost, as Kael said. Pretty interesting idea. I can see it being useful, as it gives Time another way to severely slow down buffed creatures as well. The art needs to be animated, methinks.

Aether is the prime Element present in all things, providing space, connection and balance for all Elements to exist.
Aether represents the sense of joy and union, and the ultimate potential of all things.

Yeah, my thoughts on why I put the cost to play the card where it is was that while the card won't be a huge gamechanger in most situations, there are very few situations in which it would not help you.

About the only one I can think of would be against a RoL/Hope deck.

As to adjusting the balance, right now most people are voting not to change it, so I think I'll leave it alone.

Is there anything else that needs fixed before I try for crucible?

UPDATE:

I changed the card text, as I think it was too confusing before, and I cut the cost back a bit.

For the cost I split the difference between the people who think it's balanced and the people who think it should cost 2 less, so I reduced the cost by 1.

I didn't change what the card actually does at all when I changed the text, only tried to make it simpler.

The art will probably get changed if this card advances. I just used the first decent royalty-free image I could find, and if the card becomes more popular I'll try to find/make an image better suited to the game.

Working on new art for the card. How does this look? (click to enlarge)

Obviously I'm not done editing the image yet.

*update: I finished up with this image and changed the card art over.
