Maybe the healing per turn should have a limit too (20 or 25), since it cannot be removed. What do you think?

Edit: Forget about that, I just realized, that healing over time can be removed... with poison...

OK I just updated the shard. Now it will be like a pendulum: 1 round it removes 2 poison and the next round it gives 1 healing per turn.
That way it's half as good as SoG in 5 to 6 rounds since it heals you for 3 points a turn til then plus it removes poison.
I like this idea.  Purify's main drawback is that once poison damage is removed, it can be replaced.  With this card, you have an effective way of keeping poison damage at bay as well as healing yourself.  In addition, because purify removes your poison all at once, and Shard of Clarity does so overtime, neither one is really outshining the other.

Ok thx =)

Then I'll just wait a few days and post it in the "card ideas" section if there are no more comments against it.

-Capitalize 'Other' in the upgraded card table in the Element section
-Change the Type from Permanent to Spell in the non-upped card table
-Leave the ATK|HP value section blank if the card idea isn't a creature
-Cumulative is spelled with one m in the upgraded text ^^;;
-Fix your card art - if you need help with layering, feel free to ask someone so that the image doesn't show both the Spell and Permanent icons for both pictures.

Was this idea submitted for the Shard Madness competition? Or did you have an old thread about this shard? I might have to merge the two topics together if you also made the original Shard of Clarity as well... ^^;;;

That said, I like this new 'pendulum' mechanic of curing poison counters while adding purify counters simultaneously. Not overpowered, and pretty fun to have in a variety of decks I assume that want a different way of healing compared to SoG. :)

- Done

- Done and also corrected the other spelling mistake (chard -> shard) ;)
- Done! This time I used Photoshop instead of the card image builder so that the card looks a bit different now. Hopefully I didn't make new mistakes that way...

I'm playing elements for quite a while now, but I'm relatively new to the forum, so I still didn't hear of the Shard Madness competition by now. So this is my first thread about this card but I'm interested to see the original Shard of Clarity now :)
Anyway, thank you for the supportive words and let's see if the idea will make it into the game ;)

Edit: I just found the competition... seems like timing isn't my strength ^^
I did also search for a former existing Shard of Clarity but it seems like this one really is the first.

Very well then (I'm glad I don't have to do topic merging, worst process ever >.<); once you fix that small little typo above, resubmit your idea and I'll put it in the Crucible for the votes. :)

This would have been a good idea nonetheless for the competition had you been a bit earlier. :P

I'm glad to hear that =)

I think the next competition will come some day and I still have plenty of ideas up my sleeve. Maybe even for a new element type, but since rainbow decks will automatically be nerved with an additional element type, this idea might not work out.
I just have to find some time (of which I don't have much lately because the next semester will start soon) to convert some of these ideas into cards (the card art might take some time if I do it by myself).

im confused about this poison/heal thing.
i think poison/heal counter is the same property of the player which can be negative(when you are posioned) and positive (when you are purfied). If you are poisoned for 5 (counter is -5) and you apply Purify, then you remove all the poison, and get +1 purify (counter is +1), right?

what does your idea mean in examples. e.g. you have a counter -5. if SoC adds 1 point of healing then you will have -4 or +1? cuz if -4 then you removed 1 poison.  or removing poison works if you are poisoned and adding heal works if you are not?

You are right, one point of healing would mean -1 poison, so in two rounds you would have a poison counter of -2 after an initial value of -5 (I noticed that there is this connection but I didn't think about it that way before). But to make the shard not too OP it might be best, if the poison removal will stop at +-0. Otherwise you could replace multiple SoGs with just one SoC:

Round HPT HPT when "remove poison" stops at 0
3 +5 healing(1 SoG)+1 healing
7 +11 healing(2 SoG)+3 healing
10 +15 healing(3 SoG)+5 healing (1 SoG)
over 9000!!! OP!!!OK ;)
HPT = Healing per turn
