too underpowered, its too little strength gain for the massive cost, what if you didn't lose that quantum and instead you lose the ability?

edit: kinda like the lycan but not permanent stat change

My origional concept had it be a +1 for 5:life conversion, should I change it back to that?

Some advice, I wouldn't make changes to a card more than once every day or so. This gives you time to hear what more people think about the idea and it gives you time to consider more about what you might do with it. If it falls down the forum pages, then when you do update the card (modify post) you can always add a new comment stated what was changed and why. That will bring it back to the top of the discussion again.

As far as this card goes. I'm thinking make it a permanent, name it whatever you like, and give it a one time ability to change into a X/0 creature, X being all of your life+water Quantum (drained) divided by 5. To make this card not to OP, add wording that it cannot be used the turn that the card (permanent) comes into play. This would create at least 1 round where it is vulnerable to many things that creatures are not vulnerable to. It would then allow for pulveriser. steal (nasty!) and destroy on the Permanent side of things. And as a creature there would be time for a wall

What's the point of having it a permanent that turns into a creature?  Seems a bit convoluted.  Wouldn't it be better to be a weak creature?  Unless you wanted it to be specifically vulnerable to different sets of control.

I just wanted to see it become something VASTLY powerful but, to do so would require signifigant restraints, so I was just offering a VAST-creature-with-signifigant-restraints scenerio. As it is currently listed it seems to be fairly balanced already, I do concur.

Still undecided about what ratio I should use.  10:1, 7:1 or 5:1?  The ability is a one-time use.

3:1, plus the creature dies at end of turn

I dunno, the rustler can generate some :life quanta fast, and that plus luciferin might make 3:1 ratio a bit much.  5:1 is on par with Fahrenheit...

I think its balanced or a bit underpowered. Balanced/underpowered, because you can maybe play a light deck with a life mark to summon a Rustler to then bring out this guy. Using Rustler / Leaf Dragon's ability ten times would give it +10 damage for one turn, but couldn't you summon two Jade Dragons with that and have more consistent damage over the course of the game? If anything, I think lowering the cost of it's ability would help, as it only lasts one turn.
