I really hope this hasn't been done before. Why haven't I seen the idea of :darkness's sneakiness used to peer into the opponent's hand, predicting the movements?

The unupgraded card requires a :darkness upkeep while the upgraded one gets rid of that, instead allowing the user to peer at intervals instead of a forced view in exchange for quanta.

Yay for reveals. Clever take on the upgrade to say the least.

That being said, why would I find this card useful? (There's a good reason Precog's main effect is 'draw a card' and not 'view enemy hand'.)

lol. Didn't even remember about your card. Yours was more of used to sabatoge, while this is more of used for preparation and protection.

It's thematic and I feel it encapsulates and develops the cautious theme very well. Hardly anyone uses precog because it is intended to be a draw increaser, while this serves the purpose as a vigil during the entire game about what the opponent has. It tells a player whether or not to save precious cards like antimatter, or whether it's safe or not to play a lava golem. Also synergy with nightmare.
