So it gains 1hp and then loses 2hp per attack/turn.
The +1hp seems out of place.

If the creatures were lucky enough, they will survive for one more turn. I know it sounds a bit weird, but.....it seems people liked it mechanics wise and because its quite a refreshing concept.

Would Overdrive be improved if it cost 1 more and gave an initial +1hp before the -1hp per attack? Probably not.
