Halo Effect created by Odin Vanguard

IDEA:
OdinVanguard
NOTES:
A fun double edged sword like effect. Bumps the targets attack by a decent amount, but will cause it to also damage its owner.

Damage dealt from creature to owner by this spell is treated like voodoo doll, can't be blocked or redirected, even by shields.

The damage will be dealt regardless of whether the creature's attack is successful, or even occurs at all.
E.g. if the target gets frozen, delayed, etc. It still deals its damage to opponent

Adrenaline will proc the spell damage as if it were poison, drain, etc.

Low cost should allow use as a support card via nova, immolate, etc.

For lobotomy purposes, this effect is treated like momentum. It does not overwrite any skills, but can be removed by lobotomize.

May make an "Aura / Nimbus" series out of this if I can think of enough others.

What would happen if I used this on my creature and I had a Reflective/Emerald Shield?

Would it be OK if it wasn't spell damage, or are there other problems I'm not seeing?

I can take away spell damage easily enough and just leave it as generic "damage". The intent was to make it difficult to prevent.

I like this idea's synergy promotion with fire-life or fire-light. I also love the double-edged sword. I would like if the game had more double-edged sword cards in it. Nice idea!

The only other concern I can see would be SoSac. Whether or not that would be overpowered, I have no idea.

Right now, SoSac seems to see little use since it has been made very situational / limited due to the heavy drain effect... Should it ever be rebalanced... I'm not sure either.

I suppose it would be similar to if the player cast Antimatter on the creature afterwards. Logically, 66% of a negative attack would be -66% damage -> 66% healing. That could be fun with scorpions.

You can make it just damage (not reflected, but heals sosac user), or direct damage like chaining sosac. (Still damages a sosac user).

Ok, card updated.
No longer does spell damage. I'm going with having the damage to owner treated like voodoo doll damage instead.

That should keep people from trying to wriggle out of the damage (as it should be).

I really like this card! There's just one thing I can't grasp. Why should it still deal damage when the attack is unsuccesful?

Think of it like having something thats on fire sitting next to you every turn... Whether it gets through to the enemy or not, you still get burned
