Interesting card. Have you ever considered a mechanic such as "If you can, reduce your pool to target creature's HP to destroy target creature"? Would that be too OP? The thing is, without many Fire quanta dumps in the game at the moment, it'd be difficult to use this card.

indeed, in the competition i made it for, i also included a few cards that would drain the fire quanta.  with this, it would be relegated to rainbows, or certain niche decks.

your suggestion would be a simple instant kill card, which is pretty OP.

This has been in the back of my mind for a while now...but I don't really know what to say about it. It's a cool mechanic.

Does this mean your quanta must match the creatures HP exactly? Or will it be able to kill anything with less HP than you have in your pool?
I'm guessing you mean the latter, since the former would probably be situational and UP.

Its definitely a bit more powerful than a standard bolt for taking down large creatures, so I think it will fit a slightly niche than bolts.

Considering the level of stored quanta needed scales with the targets HP, I think this should be enough to justify a one-shot kill kind of effect...

Of course, you are likely to get people complaining about adding to fire's already abundant CC supply...

nope, i meant the former, must match exactly.  that makes it weaker and situational, enough to justify it being an instant kill which generally doesnt happen in this game.

First of all: STOP MAKING MORE CC FOR FIRE.

I know it's a good element for cc, but it's worth spending the time thinking of another name and element to get a different element for all fire cc ideas.


And when compared to the other fire cc cards this one is considerably weaker. Maybe if it destroyed all creatures with that defence, but I'm not in favor of this kind of cc in general.
