I do like the multi cost idea but I wonder, If you could make two abilities that worked A. made a minor vampire and then had the B. ability generate a skeleton, although I can see the lesser appeal of it for death/dark decks and more toward the appeal of mono dark (and I'm sure you wanted both hence the 50/50) Although Nightfall/Eclipse works on both.

I'd probably lower the power of it by 1, personal preference, not a big deal.

Would the upgraded version make Elite Skeletons? I understand that upgraded vampires would be unfair but Elite Skeletons would give a player both 2/2 creatures for the upgraded card.

I like the idea of the dual costs, could add some fun strategys

Whoa, weird... This is the second time today that I've been reminded of the Weeping Angels in Doctor Who. Weeping Angels are creatures that turn into stone when someone looks at them, but move incredibly fast when they aren't looked at. And with a touch they can send you decades back in time to live your life and die before you're originally born. The statue-esque image in the card really reminds me of the Weeping Angels...

How about making the regular version a normal statue, and the upgraded version a statue baring teeth and showing fangs? The Weeping Angels are like this: one moment, you're looking at a serene-looking angel statue; you blink once, and the statue is now inches from touching your face, with its hands held out and face twisted to show grotesque fangs.

Yep. The upgraded version should have its face grotesquely twisted, with lots of teeth.

Look up the Weeping Angels. They still creeped me out even though I knew what they looked like...

Not to burst the bubble of creativity but: Increasing stats AND lowering cost for an upgrade is usually not permitted. And I can't see why this card should be any different in that aspect.

Other than that: I really like this card, ability could be all death or all darkness without it being overpowered, if you lower the atk and hp. Consider purple nymph (yes, it's a nymph and thus nota normal card, but just as an example) which can not kill the target, but make it counter-productive. This ability gives you an a creature and if far from useless consider the high cost.

Taking off that mask would reveal a grotesquely deformed face and rows of fangs. Look up the Weeping Angels from Doctor Who.
