This card was originally balanced with the idea of it being multiple pillars in one card.
The non water restriction should be removed.

Elements the Game benefits from diverse sources of quanta generation. Each new type of quanta generator inspires entire genres of new decks like Immolation Rush and Speedbows. Not to mention the recent 30 creature deck in the beta deck section.
However some elements are feeling left out and have not had the chance to share their take on quanta generation. This card is here to remedy that.
Instead of having just another Ray of Light, Brimstone Eater, Damselfly, Gnome Gemfinder or Devourer this card tries to make a unique version of quanta generation that mirrors water's tendency toward duo creatures.

In a mono deck (when non water restriction is removed) this acts like an expensive pillar stack in one card.
In a dipping duo deck this could dip Life for Mitosis and maybe use Forest Spirit and Abyssal Crawlers. This is probably the most dangerous example by my estimate.
For full Duos it branches out into Life again with Mitosis, Aether for Fractal or Mindgate?, Entropy to support Mutation, and Time to support Fate Eggs.
For those that love Nymphs out there this charm would be a great support for a Nympomania deck. It would start draining excess :water mid-late game while generating quanta to activate all those wonderful abilities.

I would be happy with that, so it is up to the other 2 developers of this card.

I'm skeptical too about dropping the no-water rule, and it might make it go broken but OT makes it look reasonable. I say taking out the upkeep won't make it OP, it will just give it a bigger niche (more uses). We could even nerf it if it looks to be powerful, but Zanz seems to prefer making OP cards into the "In Development" section just to over-nerf them and then re-balance them once in-game...


I like what OT said. He couldn't be more true about the quanta generators, and as it's expensive, and subject to CC and PC, dropping the no-water rule doesn't seem bad.

BTW, this will work wonders with Nymphomania decks, specially since Nymph's Tears is needing a buff...

I vote V2  (all creatures, absorb 2) . Upgraded only absorbs 1  :water.    Also, the notes should say that it is purely based on number of creatures, NOT based on when creatures attack.    Delay, frozen, adrenaline etc. do not affect the quanta generation from this.

I mean, why does it absorb? I would want to understand what's the reasoning behind it. What I know is that it needs to be played quick to be good, and maybe the upkeep is the way to make it being able to be played fast, while not being too powerful, and harder to stack.
