If you're only running 6 creatures, the chances of you getting them are very slim...
I'm not sure this should receive any defense bonus. and if you include pillars then this card becomes too powerful too fast. 18 pillars 6 green shards 6 of these... idk seems very strong.

The probability of getting exactly 3 in your oppening draw is about 17% if you have a 30 card deck with 6 of these.
You also need to look at the fact that mitosis is an option as well. So is fractal.
Running a duo out of just these and fractal or mitosis and permanents could be pretty powerful I think.
To get full bang out of them, you would need about 6+ pillars or pendulums.
Thats not super hard to do, but will probably take till midgame.
I dont really see a balance issue myself though. You would need to really base a deck heavily around this card and pillars in order to make it more cost efficient than other
creatures.
