CURATOR COMMENT
-Just keep the COST part of the table at '3' to match the card image (the top right of the card image doesn't have "5 of any quanta", it just says '5')
-Leave the ATK|HP section of the table blank if the card is not a creature.

By 'target', is it completely random, or do you get to choose which creature is afflicted by the Elemental Shackle? Just curious.

Now this card is a serious card, I'm going to comment on it. It's definitley interesting, and does have it's ups and downs (best used against decks based around cards like FFQ and Pharoah, definitley not useful in some other situations).  Considering how quickly rainbows generate quanta, I'd say this card is balanced.

Yeah I like it aswell.

One thing though, since it's now a permanent. I still feel like it would be better to add 1-2 quanta cost to a creatures skill cost instead of doubling it. Doubling or even Trippling (spelling?) just seems unbalanced for me in some cases.

Also a permanent would either have a skill + cost of it's own (like Hourglases) or affect all creatures right?
An idea would also be to have it affect 3 random creatures, and make the upgraded version affect 5 random creatures (keeping it doubling the creature skill quanta cost). **edit** I just read a post from essence saying random effects are not appreciated....

Last question: is this permanent stackable?

ps. I'm just throwing stuff out there, I love the card so don't take it as criticism  ;)

It targets, I'm pretty sure.

Hi, everyone.

I just came home from my trip.

So, first of all, yes, it targets. So, you pick a card you want to shackle! :)
Oh, and one more thing, this is not limited to creatures. You can target weapons and such too.

Jappert,

Interesting alternative. But, I personally think that has a bigger potential for OP than the current setting. It also doesn't really make sense for a shackle to be able to restrain more than one target. So, for the time being, I'd like to leave the effect as it is.

And, no, I did not intend this card to stack (double of already doubled cost? no way! lol).

Hi, all.

Just letting everyone know that Elemental Shackle was moved to Crucible today. This is officially my very first crucible entry :)
I didn't think ES would make it before my Avatar series lol. I'm brandnew to this process, so I don't really know, but looks like this card is in for a February vote? So, if you like this card, please support :)

Thanks,

Ignion

Go to: http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/board,6.0.html

I guess it depends if the card you want to support has entered the Crucible or Forge. Select the appropriate post and vote for the card.

You should know! Aren't alot of your own cards in there aswell?  ;)

Thank you for positive feedback and your support. I just checked on the votes, and it's got 9 votes. Considering that this card was initially a card I made as a joke (known as Taxation and IRS), this is much more than I imagined this card would get.
