I have not seen any mechanics quite like that! I like this card very much. I don't know how to balance it, but I think it is fine the way it is. Very good work.

Hehe... Twitchy. To make the best use of this card, you'd want it to be damaged as little as possible. In ;:fire, you have fire lot as the smallest you can do. The next best would be one of the other bolts, ice or drain life. Even then, you'd want a healer, but that's only light.

Anyway, cool card!
It is the greatest mystery of all...

What's with the RT effect? And why don't you write it on the card?
"Neque porro quisquam est, qui dolorem ipsum, quia dolor sit amet, consectetur, adipisci velit."
"There is no one who loves pain itself, who seeks after it and wants to have it, simply because it is pain."

Don't forget Purify to heal ;) Light is *Neutral* if you use Holy Flash; Fire Shield is the best trigger for that card imo. Poison works as well, for example.

However, I think a Plate Armor suffices to buff the creature more than enough, for the low cost of 1 :earth. Which you can even generate for free with an upped Gemfinder...

What's with the RT effect? And why don't you write it on the card?

The RT effect opens a window for further synergies. The idea is simple: After it's days end, the Steam Machine was dismembered or modified or parts taken for particular uses. So the Dusty Device/Rusty Robot are the remains of the once intact Steam Machine :)

I was thinking of Guardian Angel mainly. Fire shield hurts the opponent's creatures - not yours, so why is it better? Sure it starts it off for less, but then doubles the death rate.

I meant that the best situation is when the opponent got one and your unit just suffers from 1 dmg. Of course, you have to destroy the Fire Shield afterwards :D

Angels and this card can be very strong very fast. Potion the Robot (and the Angel), heal it up. Vast amount of damage in a short time.

I really like this.. the mechanics is interesting... especially the reverse time idea.
the accelerate ability is nice, but since it needs to be damaged, the skill more often than not might be wasted, because opponent will be careful not to deal any damage to this card at all, and there are not many damaging skills.
this is going to be the first fire creature to have more hp than its attack if this card is made, and fire is more towards having brittle creature. i prefer the dusty machine to have higher attack with lower hp actually... and the accelerate skill is not necessary.
Well this is just an idea after all, and I really like the creativity in this card. Good job

Love this card. So many different synergies. Would definantly make a time/fire duo with 6 of these, 6 RT, an eternity, pendulums, and a few other cards. Brilliant idea, +karma to you.

There are quite some imo...especially because it's a fire card, you can even Bolt it in the 2nd turn. Makes 3|5, 6|4...
It by the way makes it a lot less desirable for your opponent to steal a Fire Shield :)

Another thing is to Pot it. The Robot would have 7|3 and through Overdriving 10|2. Then 13|1 and it can be RT'd.

Besides that you can use Ice Bolt, Siphon Life, Shockwave, Thunderbolt, Sniper, try your luck with unupped Pandemonium. Additionally, the opponent will less likely use Rain of Fire, Lightning Storm, Carapace Shield, Poison on the creature and whatever i missed in both enumerations ;P In the early game the creature can also be Grav Pulled to start ravaging :)

this is going to be the first fire creature to have more hp than its attack if this card is made, and fire is more towards having brittle creature. i prefer the dusty machine to have higher attack with lower hp actually... and the accelerate skill is not necessary.

I know that the Robot doesn't totally fit in here, but still the most imo. Since the Steam Machine works with Water/Fire there is some relation. Additionally, to get this unit *working* you have to deal damage on it. Together with the -1def/turn effect, it quickly gets quite weak. In a mono fire you can almost not even use it cauz it *falls apart* within a heartbeat :D

The Acceleration effect is why I invented this card. I love that idea, and it's an essential part of it. No way I'm going to delete that :P

Wow, thanks a lot! =)

Very interesting card, allows a lot more ideas for duo-decks. Great work ;) The only thing that is being a bit confusing is the Dusted Device has more HP than the "intact" Steam Machine. Propably 1/6 instead of 0/7 for the unupped one.
Do you have a great idea for a Weekly Tournament? Post it here!
