Probably can reduce the activation cost to 3|2 :darkness.

That way the Casting Cost + Activation Cost is greater than the Casting Cost of Steal but the Activation Cost is less than the Casting Cost of Steal.

an infinite steal permanent, idk, the double type makes up for a little but i think the card cost should be 1 higher then steal 5|4 i think
