This shield provides an alternative for an element that sorely needs another option, much like how Light's shields are too specific to stand alone, but in total they provide a good variety of options for different types of Light decks. Scaredgirl, similarly, feels that the Weapon Swap effect and the Chaos Seed effect are too unrelated to find a home on the same card

The reactive Chaos Shield effect could be its own card for sure and stand as a simple counterpart to Fire Shield for 5|4 quanta. However, I want to think about this further and gather more feedback if I can before making such a change.

For the purpose of discussion and disclosure, here are some other versions of the card which were discarded:

"When struck by a weapon, this shield swaps your weapon with your opponent's. When your opponent alters your quanta or alters your hand, you heal 2 HP" This shield would have been used to hand your opponent Discord and heal back some of the damage as well as serve as a soft counter to denial. And there are certain situations where being hit by a Discord effect is desirable, like a rainbow wherein you have a very tight budget in a certain element but have quanta to spare in several others.

I'm a little unsure about the weapon swapping; the card might actually be better without that.  In order to make the best use of this card, you'd be better off without a weapon.  I mean, otherwise you're giving your opponent a discord or something to hit you with for a turn.

It's looking likely that I'll end up splitting these ideas off into two separate cards, thanks for adding your feedback to the group that's small but growing there.

Now then, as to the weapon swapping. Handing your opponent a Discord enables some cool tricks. For instance, you can run a mono or duo deck that has some splash cards and intentionally hand your opponent a Discord so that your Fate Eggs, Mutations, or even just a handful of creatures with low-cost skills can be paid for. All the speed and reliability of a good mono/duo plus, when you're ready to hand your opponent a Discord, all the flexibility of a rainbow!

The reason I disagree is due to the simple fact that has so many other ways to deal with creatures that in fact does not need another shield.  While all are obviously situational, they have Maxwell's Demon, Chaos Seed, Pandemonium, Antimatter, as well as Fallen Elf (to an extent) to use for CC in addition to Discord (denial IS control, you know:P).  Keep in mind, this is not a comment on the card itself, which I like, but rather your reasoning for justifying its existence.

Thank you for adding those considerations to the discussion! It's true that even though they go about it in different ways, reactive Chaos Seed and Diss Shield both ultimately wind up being primarily a way to reduce incoming damage from creatures.

What if the weapon-swap shield was simply made into a spell-reflecting shield and the reactive CS was moved to a new shield?

I like the weapon swap. Does protect artifact stop this from working? Also i found a typo on the upped - in the last line: pells in stead of spells

Quick note here, Gumbeh - It says "Damage pells" on the upgraded card instead of "Damage spells".

As long as you are hit by their weapon, you both instantly Steal each other's weapon. If you're not currently holding one, bully for you! They can ofc retrieve their weapon by hitting you with another one - though if you are a tricky punk, Animate Weapon will yield entertaining results.

Regarding PA/Morning Glory, Disorder Shield would work on them. "If your opponent's weapon hits you"
Animate Weapon can work on protected weapons, after all, and damage shields work just fine on quinted creatures. Titan already isn't affected by shields, so if Morning Glory also ignores this shield, 17% of the cool weapons are immune to the defining shtick of this shield. How you think Mr. Disorder gonna pay da bills if nobody will play with him?

I would change Underpants to Misery, ofc, add a background, maybe recolor. Does that help?
