The whole point anyone uses mono pillars is for getting quanta of a specific element. This card makes all pillars generate two random quanta. That makes the usefulness of regular pillars in mono decks one sixth as effective. If your opponent had 6 fire pillars, this card basically makes it seem like they only have 1. Quantum pillars are used for generating random quanta of all elements. This card would make quantum pillars generate 2 quanta instead of 3, making it two thirds as effective. If your opponent had 6 quantum pillars, this basically makes it seem like they have 4. How is that not a big difference?

Okay, that's under the assumption that quantum pillars are just as efficient.  For each generation, the quantum pillar has 1/12 chance of generating any single quanta.  It can be said that since it is 1/4 since there are three chances of generating one specific quanta.  Now, I understand that with Quantum pillars, you aren't aiming for a specific element, but in a perfect, improbable situation, you will only generate the 3 quanta that you need to play your hand.  But then, the efficiency is still around 50% [speculation].  After considering Diffraction Grate, this would theoretically be cut down to 33% or so.  Close enough to the effects to monos to hurt both in terms of generation via pillars and pendulums.

I'll try to work out the rest when I'm not trying to post from a DS...

Rainbows can make good use of that quanta, even though it is diminished. Monos can't make use of that diverted quanta, weakening them.

Why do you not understand dropping to 1/6th is not the same as dropping to 2/3?

No, I understand that.  Honestly, this card isn't about making the effects balanced for Monos and Rainbows.  It's about two things.  One, denial.  And yes, it hurts Monos and Duos more than most would like.  And two, allowing for land-less Rainbows via bioluminescence while denying others like Nova and Immolation.

I kinda think its more  than  but how about you make so it has a 50% to generate the random quanta or what it normally makes times 2 and for upped 75% to 25% i'm really just spit balling here
