Quick question: When its says the cards you get are of your mark's element, does that mean you will only get cards if your opponent has cards in their hand of your element or will the cards you get change to your mark's element?

It sounds like they become your mark.

*play spite/malice*
You now have a lava golem, costing 5 darkness quanta to play.

Haha, I understand you have no idea what I'm talking about, but I already made a Spite card, and it did work alot better as a Fire card.

This is one of Essence's card designing taboos. Nice try, though.

Correct. The play cost will become the same as your mark.
However, it doesn't work in reverse, so the element of the cards you give away remain the same.

It's had almost 3 months to collect dust, but I finally got round to reworking it. Check the card's changes to see if it's crucible ready now.

I'd say leave it random. Play spell, random card from your hand is switched with one random card from the enemy's hand. Boom. As for upped, just decrease cost. -1 .

Good synergy with Nightmare.

I'd say it's time to move onto newly coded mechanics, let's spice things up.

To be honest, I feel that removing the whole "Cards you obtain match your mark's element." mechanic should be dodged altogether. By doing so, you can make the spell a double-edged sword that has a fair chance of messing up both players, unless the deck is constructed properly enough to take advantage of whatever card they receive (i.e. - rainbows or a specialized nightmare-darkness deck with this). That said, I like the idea, although I still wonder how annoying it must be for Darkness to have all these specific hand-quanta denial cards that can be completely overcome by a single Sanctuary... (don't bring up the Steal argument, I already know). ^^;
