Basicly, plays a card from your hand, other than Mirror, without removing the card from your hand.

IE You play Mirror, target the Fractal in your hand and then it casts Fractal (Without taking the card from your hand). You then continue as if you had played Fractal instead of Mirror.

The card would allow you to get around the 6 of one type of card but at a hefty price.

There is a disparity between the cost in the table and the card image.

This would be absolutely evil in any rush deck, since you can potentially bust out three hard hitting creatures (dragons) or three of a really important permanent (bonds, shards, hourglasses, etc.) without using the actual quanta of the card in question. I think it's a bit overpowered, except in mono :aether decks, but other than that, it's interesting.

Since you can play '3' of any card, how would this work with spells like Fire Lance or Rewind? Could you potentially target up to three creatures to rewind back into a deck, or three different targets (player, two creatures, etc.) altogether? I mean, with Rain of Fire, you get to deal 9 damage for the sweet price of 8 aether quanta, but with some of the other spells/permanents, I'm not sure how the mechanics will play out...

wait...so if you use aether mirror on an aether mirror, you play 2 aether mirrors, which can be used on the second aether mirror again and again (because it doesn't get used up), effectively allowing you to play infinite cards in 1 turn (for example, lightning on the opponent 20 times to kill them). That scares me  :o

it drains all the quanta.

When it says "plays the card" i hope it plays them only if there is quanta to pay for them.
Otherwise, it can be used to play a ruby dragon TWICE for 8 :aether.
