To be honest, if you could play Ent without a Dead Wood out first, it wouldn't be much of a synergy.  It defeats the point, and takes away from the synergy that is trying to be created. If you can just play Ent, then revive it with life, you don't need the darkness/death quanta unless it gets rewound. I also think Dead Wood's cost should be raised a bit to balance it (Just by one, MAYBE two.).  Once it's revived, the Ent is reasonably hard to kill, and when it does die it can be revived again.

Ok so good points have been made. The original idea came from the Dark Ent, a creature that sits in the darkness it's branches outstretched waiting for a tired individual to reat beneath it's boughs, then it devours them whole, returning to it's dead tree look alike state for the next victim to cross his path. Thus the :darkness in the first card Dead Wood.

I suppose when I really think about it the Dead Wood is a much better card to start with otherwise (as stated already) the synergy may as well go out the door because you wouldn't need it, only needing :life and with that in mind it would be a little OP I would say (imagine this with Emphatic Bond you get a creature that is almost impossible to kill as it is 4|6 and then 0|6 you can convert it any time back to 4|6 losing any status changes on the way) so in saying that Ent will be unavailable in the bazaar and you will only be able to have him|her in your deck if it is rewound.

Dead Wood could do with a cost increase as above it becomes hard to kill if you have the :life in your hand to activate the ability. I assume that a single increase would be ok but if anyone has more plans then please inform me.

Thankyou for your advice on this card, I am glad it is getting somewhere as I thought it could be of use but was unsure.

Thanks

I personally think you should have Dead Wood be left as Darkness, because it reminds me more of a haunted forest then of a decaying tree, since it's a dead Ent.

I also think that you should keep Dead Wood as the card in the bazaar, because the point of the card is to bring it back to life as an Ent. With an Ent, you're looking at "Oh, I hope it doesn't die, but at least if it does, it'll be alright"
with Dead Wood, it's more "You might think your safe in the dark of the night, but these trees come to life."

Not sure if I really made my point, but meh.
I see what your saying, makes sense to me.

I think the attack should be increased a bit though because, if it starts as Dead Wood, it would cost 6 quantum to get a creature with only 4 (or 5 upped) attack. Correct me if im wrong but, generally the attack is equal to or greater than the quantum cost. (Maybe since its only 3 of 2 seperate elements its ok, but Im not sure)

Yes the attack is low but as stated the creature is almost indestructable. Immune to Elite Oty, RoF even Thunderbolt it can last a good long time and once Ented it gets another chance to deal it out. Thus the 6 Quantum for such a low attack.

It could be something that may need to be changed but I'm not sure. Convince me...

SO are there any major changes I should be making to this card?

I would like to put it forward for the crucible but maybe some of the things afore mentioned should be addressed:

1: Dead Wood being :darkness or :death

2: Which is available as an independent card and which can you only get through playing the other? (ie Dead Wood or Ent)

3: Is the attack too low?

4: Is the cost about right or should it go up by 1 quanta or more?

Thanks

CURATOR COMMENT

To Get to the Crucible
- Need to decide which is the primary card and which is the token and detail it as such in the notes or if the two cards are going to be active, split the cards up into 2 topics.
- Fix the Element type of the Cards to have them written as Wrods (Note: :life means Life Quanta, not the element of Life)

Have decided the active card is Dead Wood. The Ent is not available through any other means except through the Dead Wood card. It has a cost in case it is rewound.  On table.

- Fix the Element type of the Cards to have them written as Wrods (Note: :life means Life Quanta, not the element of Life)
Fixed Element Type now in wrods.

Phoenix will always have an advantage being a Mono :fire creature over any Dual Quanta card. This helps with Darkness | Life combos and is designed to sit in a Dual Deck.

kinda similar to phoenix, especially if you're gonna follow the suggestions above (making ent a standalone card and wood not)

but i agree with them that dead wood should definitely be a :death card, to benefit from death effects of the creatures.

also try lowering the HP of ent so that it dies easily.

and lastly, could u remove the 'elite' prefix in elite dead wood? i just can't stand thinking about a forest that is 'elite'. make it something like... corrupted wood, forsaken wood, etc....

Might be a bit more unique if you put some passive on dead wood, so that you might want to keep it instead of reviving.
