NOTES:
Looks like an useful card to me, can be used on one's own creatures which adds to its versatility. Also another mean of producing dark quanta for SL.
SERIES:
None
Yet another card ready to be judged by the almighty Community. I think it's not that OP, it can kill mid creatures and "convert" them into dark quanta through the portal. Neat uh? Thoughts?

Compare it to shockwave. For now, I can't add more than that. Really busy.

fits darkness cc well, kills and steals quanta from it, one problem i have with upped is that if it kills, you get a refund and the creature quanta, maybe just 5 or 6 damage would suffice, the 4 extra quanta, well, if you get it, you basically get a free cc and some quanta

The closest similarity I've been able to find between this and shockwave is that if we consider the number of the letters in my name, and in Shockwave name, and we call them n and n1, n-n1+3 times 56 added to Planck's spacetime value divided by Euler's...

...Back to business, they are totally different cards. Shockwave is more powerful cc. This is meant not only for CC but to kill big weakened creatures and get some/alot of quanta in the process. Dark quanta. SL.

And joebob, that is the point. It's not really "free" since you need the quanta to play it before being able to get it back, but i wouldn't want people running around swinging this card and killing dragons and giant beasts to get the 349'468'435 quanta needed to SL Zanzarino to 0 in 1 turn. But Zanzarino can't be SL anyway, so nevermind.

Thanks for the comments!

The upped version is definitely not "free", but has a built-in delay just like Supernova has (2 :entropy is replaced by playing Snova, 4 :darkness is replaced by successfully killing a creature).

The card itself feels balanced to me, but I would like to see it come out after some of the other elements have had some of their issues fixed, the most notable of which (to my mind) is Time's lack of mid-range attackers.  The problem with introducing this card right now is that it would make darkness a dominating element (great PC with steal, great haxx shield, healing with SL, Vampire Stiletto, and vampires, and now better CC).

That being said, I really like the card and feel that it fits with darkness perfectly.

Thanks very much for the comment, it was much appreciated! (mostly because you said the card was good  :P nah, kidding)

Anyway, I will try to design some kind of time mid ranged creature soon, so just stay tuned :D

Unupped
Cost: 3 :darkness +1draw +1card slot
Result: 4 damage + quanta gain = creaturecost

In comparison to lightning
Cost: 2 :aether vs 3 :darkness
Result: 5 damage (optional vs player) vs 4 damage (and quanta gain)

Upgraded
Cost: Store of 4 :darkness +1draw +1card slot +1upgrade [~=1-2 :darkness]
Result: 4 damage + quanta gain = creaturecost

In comparison to Lightning Bolt
Cost: 2 :aether vs ~2 :darkness
Result: 5 damage (optional vs player) vs 4 damage (and quanta gain)

I think the casting cost of Dark Quasar Portal needs to be increased by 1 :darkness to be in line with standard upgrades. I also think that a fraction of the casting cos should be returned in each case. 1/2 sounds right.

This fits darkness very well and looks like a neat card.

Or I could lower the quanta gain by one for DQP. I will consider doing so, thanks for the feedback. Also, could consider adding 1 to the quanta gain of the unupped version.

This reminds me of a card I saw on another CCG called "Gather Spirits".... anyway, I like it.  Could easy cause you to profit, but can also punish you if used wrong.  I also agree with the  +1 cost for upped : you have to sacrifice something to use it, because you might as well make the card free ATM.

Thanks for the feedback, will tweak the card since several people demonstrated it would be better.

I think reducing the gain to 1/2 casting cost +1|4 is warranted.
