what if it was just your creatures? As in any of your creatures damaged by your opponent (with or without gravity pull. I am kind of against the limit to gravity pull only, but I am still thinking about this card.) heal you for the damage taken. Then use your idea for the time frame this card lasts. I think if he used my mechanism though, the card shouldn't drop cost because of how powerful it would be. It is basically a protection for your creatures. Or play it when your creatures are poisoned and get some use out of them before they die.
but when I made the comment about how many strategies would arise, I was thinking of what you said about using my mechanic and setting time limit.
As it currently is, I think it is just too limiting.
Also I like the idea of it only healing if it isn't killed (*edit* which is already part of the card my bad

Now This card makes me want to make a self infliction card. perhaps something like a rain of fire which does 1 or 2 damage to all of your creatures. would be interesting.
