NOTES:
I suppose there will be some questions, so I'll go ahead and explain some. So, for dark illusion, your opponent has no idea what any creature's attack|Hp are, your or his/her LPs are, how many quanta you or s/he has. But, this is only an illusion, so the game play will carry out just the same. It just makes it confusing to your opponent. So, maybe instead of seeing 2|4, maybe your opponent sees X|X. All quanta will have "X" instead of numbers. Or, whatever makes sense and easier for the programmer. With shadow illusion, every creature's image is swapped with this card image ONLY TO YOUR OPPONENT. You can still see them just fine, but your opponent can't tell which creature is which! Then again, this is just an illusion, so the game play carries out the same, still it'd make things pretty confusing for your opponent :P

Avatar: A variant form of an entity.

Elemental Avatar Legend:

Endless time has passed since the creatures of opposing elements began the epic war. Some fought for justice; some fought for faith; some fought for peace; some fought to survive. A countless battle after another was fought from dusk till dawn. Million lives have been lost. As the lost souls returned to their respective elemental creator, the elementilord, elementilords shed tears for their lost children. That was when the miracle happened. Their tears were transformed into avatars, embodiments of elementilord's sorrow, love, and magical power. They are also reincarnations of the lost elemental creatures.
Because they were born of the lost souls and elementilords' wish to end the war, they are void of attack powers. Instead, each avatar was born with a unique miraculous power, a miracle that reflects their wish to bring an end to the war and the sufferings.
:darkness The Dark Avatar thought, "I shall engulf all pain and suffering with my darkness." Thus was born Darkness/Shadow Illusion, the mysterious power to hourbor those seeking refuge."
The legend says that the avatars will only show themselves to those who possess kindness, love, and will to end the war. Will their dream come true? Perhaps it is in your hands now. Thus, the epic battle of Elements continues...

So, you could use it on a purple nymph to gain  :darkness  :darkness antimatter?

I really like this idea. The powerful skill is not OP because any CC except for thunderstorm would kill it. And and cant directly do damage

It would make more sense that the ability cost is the same as the original but in darkness, rather than always :darkness :darkness. It would also probably be more balanced.

Fits the theme of darkness, and it looks balanced to me :)

I like this one a lot, and seems ballanced too.

Thank you, guys.

I thought about possible OP too, but given that it takes so much time and effort to use this card (first, you have to summon it with 6 quanta > then, skill cannot be activated the turn you summon it, so you have to wait for 1 turn > then, you can activate Soul Stealer but you can't use the stolen skill yet b/c you just used your skill, so wait another turn > then, finally you can start using the stolen skill every turn (if you have enough quanta). So, I don't think it's OP.

By the way, just so it's clear, this card "steals" skill, not copy or gain. In other words, the targeted creature "loses" its skill after it is stolen.

Can it steal passives too?

I intended that to be Yes. For example, if you have Ray of Light and you steal its ability, it basically becomes Photon, and your Dark Avatar begins to generate Light quanta. In this case, the skill does not require "activation," so you don't need to consume Darkness quanta.

What about creatures which have been given 2 abilities? (eg 1 passive and adrenaline or such?)

Just to let you know, most of those skills you call passives are actually "automatic actives" (like vampire, quanta generation and all those skills that are made automatically every turn and can be lobo'd), so I say make it steal target's active skill (passives would be devourer's quanta drain and one or two more which I can't remember).

  • My creativity was OP, so I had to nerf it.

[sob]Why does the darkness creature have to be evil??[/sob]

It's just not fair, the way it archetypically takes so much suffering.

Aside from that... I'd say, since you paid a minimum of 9 :darkness in order to use the target creature's ability once, it's balanced. I could just as easily play whatever creature I wanted for the ability in the first place. This is like an extremely weak PU, but modifies the ability cost to suit the element.

This is almost UP.
Perception is the source of misunderstanding.

Why, yes. I do have a Mindgate necklace. It's how I ninja everyone.
